Keryy is a teenage mother trying to raise her child the right way. When I read this book I thought of my sister because she has a baby herself. She had him when she was 16. This book I can relate to my sister because Kerry wants to go to school and my sister wants to go to school but with the baby and everything. I think to myself where does my sister get the money? Who helps her? Did she think she made a mistake by having a baby at an earily age? Does that affect what she liked to do? I would like to help my sister take care of the baby.
Tea: A half cup with just a bit of splash Overall the good parts outweighed the things about this book that bothered me. Though this book was originally published in 1977, I had never heard of it, nor of the author. So I read with an open mind. I agree with some of the other reviewers who had issues when the story completely changed direction. I too was caught up in how the story started and had bought in on the world the author had created. And when the author introduced a brand new world that had nothing to do with the world I had bought in on, I almost stopped reading. I wasn't altogether convinced of this new world the author was selling and it took a while for me to warm up to it. Once I did, despite the issues I had with the new world, I actually enjoyed the story. I enjoyed the pessimistic wet rag attitude of the ever reluctant hero and the journey he took (however reluctantly). As well as enjoying the characters he met along the way that would assist him not only in his endeavor but also with his inner demons. The base of the foundation, per the good vs. evil was strong enough to support the story, and paired with the action and characters enticed me enough to keep reading. I believe I will read the second book of the series. The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever The first chronicles start with book one Lord Foul's Bane (The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, Book 1) which was actually first published in 1977. It follows the adventures of Thomas Covenant who is transported to another world, and is thrust into the middle of a battle because he has been made a messenger by the evil forces. book 2 The Illearth War (Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever), and The Power That Preserves (The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, Book 3) book three ends the first chronicles. The second chronicles start with The Wounded Land (The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Book 1). Kindle: Not yet Overall Rating: 3/5 Time Period: Unknown Heat: Tepid Main Character: Thomas Species: Humans, non-human mythic creatures Subjects: Adventure, Magic, self esteem, good vs. evil
This book is good when dealing with learning about the body. It not only discusses the parts of the body that they can physically see, but the parts on the inside and how we would be lost without them.
